At Valleranello, just a few kilometres from the Colosseum, in the campagna romana, Maresa Del Bufalo has created a rose garden of great beauty. She fell in love with roses years ago when she visited the collection of Professor Fineschi at Cavriglia in Arezzo. Today in Maresa’s garden a huge collection of roses – some of them hybrids created here – climb host trees or ramble over a gazebo in a profusion of colours and scents.
