The Nursery at Sparoza

by Peter Dinning

For the full text of this article see The Mediterranean Garden No 61, July 2010

The compost mixing area. Work in progress.

After the plant exchange.

The propagation area - early spring

Propagation frame. Clear flower pots provide extra humidity for very soft cuttings.

Cyclamen and Gladioli seedlings dying back for summer.

Some of the casualties of the desiccating winds.

Anredera scandens (Potato vine - so called because of its potato-like tubers),
twines up our 'No pain, no cane' system of training climbers. The string is simply
cut and the plant rolled up for transportation.

The nursery packed to the gunnels.

Ditto.
