The Andalucia Branch of the MGS

Branch Head

Lindsay Blyth has had an unusually varied gardening career. She writes:

"I have gardened since I was child and in 1954 was sent to Waterperry Horticultural School from whence I emerged two years later with a Diploma and a RHS Certificate. I married in 1957 and spent the next two and a half years in Calcutta.

"Back in England, I gardened in West Sussex for nearly 18 years until I moved to London where I quickly found three patches of earth. My small house garden featured in Roy Strong's book Creating Small Gardens. I also had an allotment and looked after the garden of a hostel belonging to St Martin-in-the-Fields where I did all the flowers for five years.
