Seville -
Reales Alcazares
The Director of Reales Alcazares gave us a special viewing
of the Medieval pool where the plaster has been remove to
reveal brick arches in the sunken beds.
Jardin de las Floreas.
One of the many impressive flights of steps into the patios.
As visitors on a day when the gardens were properly
closed to the public, we were able to enjoy the sight of
the tall palms being pruned.
The combination of fertile soil, under ground water
and sun in Seville result in over-sized specimens. Here
a Thevetia the size of a tree.
From the trunk of this tree who would guess that it is a
humble rubber plant?
